The lives and writings of William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy are so incredible that it can be easy to overlook the remarkable lives of the friends and family around them.  Fortunately, with the use of the manuscripts and documents in the Wordsworth Trust’s collection, this is now changing.  Today we will hear from three researchers who have been discovering more about the lives of three remarkable people in the Wordsworth circle: Grasmere resident Kay Adkins will tell us more about William’s wife Mary Wordsworth; Joanna Taylor, Research Associate at Lancaster University, will discuss the relationship between Wordsworth and Coleridge’s son Hartley; and Marion Watts about Wordsworth’s son-in-law Edward Quillinan.
