Events cancellation & refund

Event Cancellation and Refund policy

The Wordsworth Trust is a registered charity and its events programme, though partially funded by Arts Council England, is reliant on ticket income. Certain events within the programme are dependent on a number of fee-paying participants in order to proceed. Once the decision has been taken to proceed with an event, based on the number of advance bookings, the Trust becomes financially liable. We have therefore introduced the following cancellation and refund policy.

In the event of the Wordsworth Trust having to cancel an event, a full refund will be made.

Residential events, including the Arts & Book Festival and Residential Workshops
Deposits are non-refundable. The balance of the full fee, if paid in advance, is refundable if cancellation is made up to a month prior to the event starting. No refund will be made beyond this point except where an event is full and the Trust is able to sell the place on to another participant. In this event a full refund will be made.

Non-residential Workshops
75% of the fee will be refunded if cancellation is made up to a month prior to the workshop taking place. No refund will be made beyond this point except where a workshop is full and the Trust is able to sell the place on to another participant.

Readings, talks & social events
75% of the cost will be refunded if cancellation is made within two weeks of the reading. No refund will be made beyond this point except where a reading is full and the Trust is able to sell the place to another audience member.
