Grasmere History Group is a group of local people who meet monthly to discuss matters of local history. It is a very friendly, informal gathering at which we share our interests and ask questions of others who might know the answers we seek.  We have a wide range of interests and in recent years we have produced exhibitions about Grasmere in the First World War and the early years of tourism in the Lake District.

This month Victoria Stevens ACR will be visiting us to talk about historic library and archive conservation, sharing her expertise and stories. Attendees are welcome to bring along any special books or documents that they feel could benefit from some of Victoria’s expert advice.

New members from near or far are very welcome and we are always looking to meet more people with fascinating stories to tell about Grasmere and the Lake District.
