Prism Arts’ diverse artists have been invited to explore our archives and share their findings with us in lively conversation – accompanied by tea and cake.
In the third of our three themed round-table sessions, the artists explore the life and work of Dora Wordsworth, who they feel is ‘the unknown Wordsworth’.
They will use items from our collection, their own artwork, and stories of past and present events to explore the theme – and invite participants to contribute to the group discussion as they develop their ideas for special response works to commemorate Wordsworth’s 250th birthday in 2020.
Prism Arts is an arts organisation developing and delivering arts projects that are accessible to everyone and that allow each individual to fulfil their creative potential. Their professional artists work alongside people with additional learning needs, older people, stroke survivors and younger people to create visual arts and theatre productions. Their visual art is showcased in exhibitions in galleries and public spaces and their productions are performed in theatres, schools and community spaces. Studio Arts is one of Prism Arts core programmes, offering participants the opportunity to learn and develop skills in all aspects of the visual arts. Studio Arts is based in Carlisle and is for adults with learning disabilities and autism. Learn more about Prism Arts at http://www.prismarts.org.uk/
