Spring Sights and Sounds Rucksack of Rhymes (for children age 0-5)
There are so many new things in nature to see and hear in spring! Explore a short spring poem by William Wordsworth through songs, rhymes, and a story. Then unpack our rucksack of toys to play with, including lots of animals and birds you might see for the first time in spring, before getting creative with a spring songbird craft or an April shower mobile.
Spring Sights and Sounds Activities and Crafts (for children age 4+)
In this session we will be thinking about all the things that happen in spring and how much we can enjoy being outside. We will explore some poems by William Wordsworth and have fun making spring crafts before we find out about egg decorating and the Cumbrian tradition of pace eggs. Then we will get creative with an egg craft of our own!
