The Night Sky Rucksack of Rhymes (for children age 0-5)

Did you know that the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was written as a poem in the Georgian era by Jane Taylor? Explore a short poem about the Night Sky by Wordsworth through songs, rhymes and a story. Then unpack our rucksack of toys to play with and make your own moon and star craft to light up a dark February night.

The Night Sky activities and crafts (for children age 4+)

Let’s have some fun with February’s wintery darkness by talking about the moon and the stars that light up the night sky and all the things we can see when we go star-gazing! Explore some poems by Wordsworth about a wild night sky and discovering glow-worms, then create your own book of constellations to take out with you on star-gazing adventures.

Don’t worry about booking for this event – all you need to do is turn up! If you need more information, please contact the library directly.
