If you require use of our accessible spaces please contact us on 015394 35544 in advance of your visit and we can reserve a space for you. If you are using one of our accessible spaces, please note that parking charges still apply.
Guide/Assistance dogs are welcome in Dove Cottage, the Garden-Orchard and Museum.
Non-assistance dogs are welcome to wait with their humans in our Café – treats and water are available!

Family Tickets
Discounted tickets are available for families:

- 1 Adult + up to 3 children (6-16 years)
- Family of 5:
- 2 adults + up to 3 children (6-16 years)
Free tickets are available for children aged 0-5.
Family tickets are not valid for groups from schools, clubs or associations.

Grasmere residents

By road
Find us south of Grasmere village, on the A591 Kendal to Keswick road:

During busy times, please allow extra time for your journey as there may be some traffic.
Look out for the slate sign that marks the entrance to the Wordsworth Grasmere car park.
Pay-and-display parking is available on-site. Overflow parking can be found at Stock Lane on the edge of Grasmere village, just a 2-minute walk away. For more information about Stock Lane and other car parks in the area, please visit the Lake District National Park website.
There are three designated disabled parking bays in our car park. Please note parking charges still apply.

If you’re visiting us by bus, the 555 and 599 services operated by Stagecoach run direct to Grasmere year-round, the Dove Cottage stop is just metres from Wordsworth Grasmere.
The hourly 555 service travels through the heart of the Lakes to Grasmere, via Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside and Keswick.
The 599 open top bus service offers spectacular views from the top deck on the approach to Grasmere, via Kendal, Windermere and Ambleside. The 599 operates every 20 minutes during the summer timetable (Mar-Nov) and every 30 minutes during the winter timetable (Nov-Mar).

Travelling by rail
The nearest train station is Windermere, with regular bus services to Grasmere available outside the station.
