Event Details

Join us for a second creative session where we will share the different ways we have been using sketchbooks, journals and notebooks; discover more about how different writers and artists have used theirs; and try out some new techniques and fresh approaches to recording our experience.

If you missed the first workshop don’t worry – all welcome whether or not you already write, draw, paint!

Please try and have the following materials ready. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have all of the things listed below, you can still enjoy the session.

Watercolours if you have them, or any other water based paint
A brush or two
Pot for water
Cloth or paper towels
Some twigs (just one or two, different sizes)
Ink
A candle or wax crayon
Pencils
Rubber
Masking tape or sellotape
Sketchbook / journal / notebook (without lines if possible)
Some thin paper for warm ups and to use as scrap
A piece of thicker paper or card
Scissors
Pen for writing
A magazine page with an image and some text on it
Glue
A white or light pastel
An image or physical object that has caught your eye
