Event Details

‘The trees were covered with hoar frost, grasses & trees & hedges beautiful – a glorious sunset frost keener than ever – the next day thaw.’ – Dorothy Wordsworth’s Grasmere journal, 3 January 1802

Drop in to the Learning Space for some half-term ‘Make and Play’ family activities. We will explore the wintry world around us that inspired writers William and Dorothy Wordsworth. Bring the Wordsworths’ writings to life as you have a go at some wintry crafts, from Dorothy’s ‘mountain of light’ collage to the delicate snowflakes that peppered ‘every icy crag’ in William’s poem.

Safety

Bring a suitable face mask/covering. Adults and children aged 11+ are requested to wear a mask when accessing indoor areas.
