Dunnabeck Poetry Trail

Read, explore, and have a go at writing poetry on the move! We’ll introduce William and Dorothy and their writing before setting off on a short walk around the nearby area. We’ll stop at their favourite places, read some of their writing together, and make notes about some of the things we can see and hear. We’ll also create poems together and explore a range of writing techniques. 

This guided walk includes places with steep and uneven ground. We’ll take our time, with plenty of stops to look and listen. Please wear appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing suited to the weather – this session will go ahead even on a rainy day. 

For families with children aged 6-12 years. To maintain social distancing we will be booking no more than 6 families for this session.

How to book

To book please email education@wordsworth.org.uk. State your name, the number and age of the children you wish to bring, details of any other adults attending and contact details for track and trace. You must have received a confirmation email from us before attending as places are strictly limited.

Bring a suitable face mask/covering. Although this session takes place outside, adults and children aged 11+ are requested to wear a mask if accessing indoor areas.

Tickets £7 per family. Please bring this in cash on the day. Parking is free for this event.
