Event Details

William Wordsworth’s poetic landscape is one populated by ragged robin, daisies, celandine and many wildflowers considered to be invasive and disruptive by gardeners. His and Dorothy’s Garden-Orchard was filled with wildflowers. Today the lesser celandine, that Dorothy described as his favourite, is labelled as ‘persistent’ and ‘unwelcome’ by the Royal Horticultural Society.

Join us upstairs in the Café for a free creative writing workshop. Using William Wordsworth’s writing as a starting point, we will explore his attitudes to weeds and our own relationships with the wildflowers we celebrate and the weeds we remove. You don’t need any writing experience to join in!

No need to book, just come along. This workshop is suitable for those aged 16+.
