Dove Cottage at Christmas

Step inside Dove Cottage to see The Floralistas’ stunning transformation of the Wordsworths’ home, where traditional Kissing Boughs and festive foliage fill each room with the sights and scents of the season.

As twilight falls, join a candlelit tour and imagine the Wordsworth family gathered by the fire, sharing stories and reading letters from friends far afield. Tours take place throughout the day, and at 3.20pm the last tour takes place by candlelight.

According to annual custom, our Grasmere Fiddler is going his rounds, and all the children of the neighbouring houses are assembled in the kitchen to dance.

Join us for a cosy and festive Afternoon Tea in the heart of Grasmere, surrounded by the charm and history of Wordsworth’s beloved family home. Perfect for a seasonal gathering with friends or a special treat for yourself.
