Planning your visit

  • The safety of our visitors and staff remains our absolute priority.  From 19 July 2021, and in line with government guidelines, we ask that visitors still wear a face covering when visiting our indoor spaces (unless exempt) and in turn, we will continue to operate at a reduced capacity to give visitors more space to enjoy Wordsworth Grasmere. Click here to find more details on what we’re doing to keep everyone safe, and what you can do to help.
  • We suggest spending around 2-3 hours at Wordsworth Grasmere.
  • To guarantee a specific time slot, we recommend booking in advance of your visit.
  • Make your visit even more memorable by trying one of our daily activities. Sign up at the Ticket Desk on arrival. Find out what’s on here.
  • Only Guide/Assistance dogs are allowed in Dove Cottage, the Garden-Orchard and Museum. Our Café welcomes muddy paws – treats and water are available!
  • Access information can be found here.
